Captivate Kiosk — Entra ID SAML SSO Setup Guide

For Microsoft Entra administrators. Configure SAML SSO into Captivate Kiosk with the values below, then send the completed template to portal.support@captivateconnect.com.

Prerequisites

  • Microsoft Entra ID tenant with Application Administrator role.
  • Captivate Kiosk login: https://portal.captivateconnect.com/login/
  • At least one user already created in Captivate Kiosk (Captivate Connect typically provisions the first Admin).

The email sent by Entra (user.mail) must match the Captivate Kiosk user’s Email exactly.

Steps

1 Create the Enterprise Application

  • Go to Enterprise applications → New application in the Entra admin center.
  • Select Create your own application, name it Captivate Kiosk, choose Non-gallery, then Create.

2 Configure Basic SAML

  • Open Single sign-on and choose SAML.
  • Enter the Identifier, Reply URL (Callback URL), and Sign-on URL as above.

3 Attributes & Claims

  • Edit Name identifier → Format: EmailAddress → Source attribute: user.mail.
  • Remove extra optional claims.

4 Download IdP Info

  • Under SAML Certificates, download the Base64 Certificate (cer).
  • From Set up Captivate Kiosk, copy the Login URL and Azure AD Identifier (Issuer).
Action: Add these details to the template below and email to portal.support@captivateconnect.com.

5 Assign Users/Groups

  • In the app, assign the users or groups who need access.

6 Test SSO

  • Ensure the user exists in Captivate Kiosk with the same email as in Entra.
  • Visit https://portal.captivateconnect.com/login/ and click Login with Entra ID.

Paste your Entra values below, then email to portal.support@captivateconnect.com.

Troubleshooting

  • User can’t log in: Ensure the user exists in Captivate Kiosk and the email matches user.mail in Entra.
  • Access denied: Verify the user or group is assigned to the Captivate Kiosk enterprise app.
  • Looping or invalid audience: Confirm the Identifier and Reply URL (Callback URL) match the SP values exactly.
  • Certificate errors: Ensure the current Base64 certificate has been sent to Kiosk Support.
