The Harbour Refuge & Support Services Safe at Home program offers free confidential support for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence to stay in their home, when it is safe to do so. This program assists women who are still living in the family home but have separated from the perpetrator. The Safe at Home team can help make the property secure with a combination of safety planning, case management and security upgrades.

Harbour Refuge & Support Services has nine fully furnished transitional houses which are available from time to time as medium-term crisis housing that provides intensive support to women with children who move from the Refuge’s crisis accommodation into the community.

The Harbour Refuge & Support Services Domestic Violence Outreach Service offers free and confidential support for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence. Working with local police and the coordinated response service, we assist with FVRO applications, Court support, Safety planning, Links to local service, Assessing risk, Advocacy, and Referrals to specialised counselling.

The Harbour Refuge & Support Services Financial Counselling services offers free, non-judgemental and confidential support to women experiencing family and domestic violence. The service offers unlimited sessions to assist with debt waiver and negotiation, payment plans, budgeting in addition to checking you are receiving all your entitled income and is a registered Work Development Permit Scheme (WDPS) sponsor to assist women who are experiencing difficulty paying fines due to financial hardship.
