MVO: Remember, your pets must legally be registered with the Whitsunday Regional Council. Failure to do so may result in fines, but most importantly it helps us reunite you with your pet should they go missing. Whitsunday Regional Council would like to remind dog owners that dogs are required to be on a lead in all public places unless in a designated off lead area. This is for the safety of the community and other animals and Local Law Officers patrolling parks and reserves throughout the region, may issue infringements to dog owners that do not comply. Locations of the regions off lead parks and beaches are available on Councils website.

Residents are asked to please ensure access to their meters at all times and clear any vegetation that might make it difficult to find. This is extremely helpful when Council conducts water reading in December and June. Residents are advised to monitor water usage by regularly checking your meter. It is important to check water usage, especially approaching the warmer months, to protect this valuable resource. It can also alert you to unseen water leaks which may be costly if not identified. For more information on billing, water saving tips or restrictions, visit our website www.whitsundayrc.qld.gov.au.
